ABOUT ME / PROFILE

I started studying industrial engineering and management at the Nordakademie (when it was still located in Pinneberg, close to Hamburg) and completed my studies in Berlin at the HTW. I spent the last part of my studies at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA., USA), not as a student, but as an intern in the Office of Technology and Trademark Licensing. I can assure you that writing your thesis in the library of Harvard Business School is an amazing feeling, especially if you are not a student there (and do not have to bother with the tuition fees that go with the privilege…). Originally, I never wanted to go back to Germany, but the New Economy and the euphoric atmosphere lured me back to the motherland.

My first professional activities have been as a software consultant, an early-stage VC investment manager and a group controller. After these experiences I decided to become a freelancer and have been working project-based ever since.

Both my private and professional life have been quite international. So far, my home base has been Germany, now I live in Barcelona. But that is of no concern for my operational deployability. I will be where the project needs me to be…
